Free debt counselling for everyone from an award winning charity - BLAENAU GWENT CAP CENTRE
Soar Baptist Church (opposite our building) began life in 1851 as a fellowship of "Protestant Dissenters from the C of E of the Denomination of the Baptists".

Soar was a Welsh-speaking church until after the 1904-05 revival, when 100 were baptised and membership reached 254, and services began to be entirely in English.

Our Church is still affiliated to the Baptist Union of Wales.
We are a growing church and out of our developing relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and with each other.

Our vision is to be a New Testament Church demonstrating the purpose and the power of God to Beaufort and the surrounding areas according to God's Love and Life changing values found in the Bible.

We Aim:-
We Believe The Church God Desires:

• Is exciting, full of life, numerically large and spiritually strong.

• Is non religious, fun to be in, naturally supernatural.

• Is a Church of character and integrity with its highest priority being to glorify God and bring His wonderful life to the lost.

Welcome To Our Church

Feature ImageChurch on the Rise is a church for and of the community and is based in Beaufort, Ebbw Vale, Wales UK .

We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and hope to see you back here on a regular basis. Everyone is also welcome to come and join in our activities and services at any time.

Our service times and all other meetings and events can be found in the "What's On" section of this site.

Church on the Rise is a Baptist Church and we welcome you! Our aim is to worship God and to serve the community in which we live. Our mission is to show the love of God to all who we meet and to tell them of the life changing power of Jesus Christ. Whether you want to know more about being a Christian or are already committed, we invite you to join with us.

For us, the "church" is a group of people trying to live for Jesus Christ, to experience and show to others His love and care, witnessing to the difference that a living faith in God can make to a person's life. We are ordinary people, from all walks of life, who have the same joys and sorrows, cares and concerns that are common to us all. Yet, we believe that God's presence in our lives gives us strength to face these difficulties. The teaching of the Bible and the love and support of this fellowship are all a source of hope and courage through good times and bad.

Our Church has now become a CAP Centre - Christians Against Poverty Debt Counselling Centre - see the link on the front page for more information and if you want to book an appointment for debt help and advice then  please ring the central number 0800 328 0006. We also run some CAP Money Management Courses from time to time so look out for details.

This site has been prepared to introduce ourselves and to give you some idea of the various activities that make up the life of the church. If we can help you in any way, or you would like more information about anything on this site, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you have yet to visit Church on the Rise , then do come and join us, either at one of our services or one of the other activities detailed on this site. We look forward to welcoming you.
